The Public Works department will provide GURA with a status report on the two new passages from 8th Street down to 10th Street. The west route will provide a ramp on the west end of the Canyon Gate apartments (map). The east route will provide a stairway on the east end of the Community Center (map).

The board will also hear from developers working on "The Junction." This is a light industry/commercial area planned just north of Golden's city limits. Once the project has received all approvals, the plan is to annex this property into the City of Golden.

Staff will report on a new resident at the Copper Gold apartments. This is one of three Jefferson County Housing Authority projects in the Central Neighborhoods. GURA is particularly interested in this project because they helped fund the Housing Authority's purchase of the buildings. The Housing Authority's plan is to replace the old Golden Motel buildings with a larger complex.

The City plans to remove several mature trees on the west side of the former motel to build a sidewalk. The previous owner objected to this plan, but the Housing Authority is in favor.
They will hear a status report on the Lena Gulch project at Heritage Road and Highway 40.
The group will review the process they would need to go through to establish additional Urban Renewal Areas within Golden.
