The Farmers Market runs from 8-1 today. Lions Club members will be there as well as the grocery stores, Meyer Hardware, and Windy Saddle selling raffle tickets. They’ve gathered dozens of prizes to give away at the 4th of July Festival, and the grand prize is $1000!
While this is a fairly quiet weekend in Golden, next weekend will NOT be. Here’s a brief preview:
Friday the 1st – First Friday Street Fair. This is a special one, two blocks long, with line dancing lessons. This is the major celebration of the Golden Transcript‘s 150th birthday.
Saturday the 2nd – Farmers Market and two car shows. The VFW on South Golden Road is holding a car show Saturday morning from 8-1 to benefit veterans, active service personnel, and their families. The Golden Super Cruise will take place along South Golden Road from 5-9.
Sunday the 3rd – Murder Mayhem and Madness Tour starting at 7:30PM at the Golden Visitors Center.
Monday the 4th – Fourth of July Festival in Lions Park from 11AM-9PM. Free rides and live music all day, food and drinks available for sale or bring a picnic. Fireworks at dusk. ALSO a FREE 4th of July Ice Cream Social at Applewood Valley United Methodist Church from 11-1. They’ll have a bicycle parade, games, crafts, and a fire truck.
