1st Day of School - Golden Colorado

Today is the first day of school for Jefferson County kids. The School of Mines students are also gathering: they’ll be doing the M-Climb tomorrow morning, to add their rocks and apply new whitewash to the M and each other.


Truly BoHotique is running a fund-raiser today: “Pop the Cork – The kids are back in school!Join us for Mimosas, Muffins, and Mamas. Celebrate the beginning of school and earn money for your PTA. We will give 10% of your purchase to your schools PTA, just let us now your school’s name at check out. The Foothills Running and Cycling Club is having Goat Challenge #6 tonight at 6:10PM, so look for extremely fit people running or cycling up the Lariat Loop Trail.


Foothills Art Center is holding a 6PM Members-Only preview of their new exhibit: Spirit Glass by Damien Gilley. Damien Gilley is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator in Portland, Oregon. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He is a contemporary installation artist who plays with perspective, line and lighting to create unique and immersive experiences. Damien will be filling our East Gallery with installations made in and specifically for our space. If you’re not a Foothills member, join now, so you can go tonight!
