Participants will have fun playing with surreal collage. Using vintage and current magazines participants will create fantastical landscapes, moonscapes, seascapes and any other “scape” the mind can think of that defies the senses. A variety of paper will be provided to paint or alter to add to the dreamlike results.
In the second class, participants can use vintage wildflower plates to create a surrealistic, seasonal spring collage.
Collage artist, Erika Vassallo, will lead participants through choice of materials, composition, color, use of different adhesives and application techniques. Participants will handcraft unique collage papers to use and keep.
