Support Art + Trout, Herbs, Livestock, and More in Golden Tonight

Foothills Art Center is developing a new program to encourage creativity in children at the local elementary schools. As they explain, Without imagination and the investigation of ideas, knowledge will languish. And creativity isn’t just for artists. Even those in S.T.E.M.-related fields benefit from thinking creatively. Henry Ford imagined the automobile instead of the faster horses others were breeding. Elon Musk is working on an underground tunnel system with car elevators and a hyperloop instead of improving ground transportation. Envisioning solutions like these requires more than technical ability; they demand imagination, creativity, and a sense of belief in the impossible. It is easy to take creativity for granted. But it is a precious energy, and it’s something to be nurtured and protected. If this sounds like something you would like to support, please visit their donation page. In the meantime, learn more about this program….

6-6:30PM – West Denver Trout Unlimited is having a Women’s Casting Meet Up tonight from 6-6:30PM at the Mountaineering Center. Ladies, come on out and learn how to rig up and cast with some fun gals from Colorado. Bring your rod or borrow one of ours. Anyone is welcome! Free wine provided! Join us!

The Casting Meet Up will be held before the 6:30 Trout Unlimited meeting, which is also at the Mountaineering Center. Tonight’s speaker is Levi Lambert. Levi, a self-described fly fishing addict, grew up in western Montana, fishing the rivers and creeks of the Bitterroot Valley and surrounding areas. After graduating from the University of Montana, he and his wife moved out to Colorado to live on the South Platte River, near the town of Deckers. A passion for teaching the technical aspects of fly fishing and for providing anglers with the tools to improve their overall fishing experience is what led him to become a full-time guide. This should be an entertaining and informative presentation. We hope to see you there. Learn more about the West Denver Chapter of Trout Unlimited….
