This is the second of three Olde Golden Christmas weekends. Today is supposed to be sunny with a high near 50. You never know what kind of weather next weekend will bring, so get out and enjoy the events today!

Downtown Delights

This morning’s Olde Golden Christmas Parade will run from 10:30-11AM, from 10th to 13th Street along Washington Avenue.

Family Co-Op is hosting a Children’s Book Swap at the Dove Inn from 11AM-1PM. Free–just bring a book (or several!) to swap!

Victorian Carolers will be strolling and singing along Washington Avenue from 11:30AM-1:30PM

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides downtown from 12-3PM. Rides start at 12th Street between Washington and Arapahoe in front of Wings of Eagles.

The Story of the Nutcracker at Miners Alley Children’s Theater, 11AM and 1PM

A Christmas Carol at Miners Alley Playhouse, 7:30PM

Nutcracker Ballet by Virtuosity Dance Centre at the Golden High School, 1PM

Holiday Celebration and Fundraiser for Foothills Animal Shelter at the Goosetown Events Center. Local beers for $2 and assorted wines with all proceeds to benefit the Foothills Animal Shelter. Loads of sumptuous treats and snacks, plus pony rides and cookie decorating!! Plenty of room for all – everyone is welcome! 12:30-3:30PM
