History, Nature, and Skiing

The Golden History Center will hold a World War I book discussion from 11:30-12:30 today.  The topic is “Where Do We Go From Here? America in the First World War.”  The story of a war is much more than the recital of facts, battles, and dates.   No matter the impacts of war upon nations and the world order, the underlying story of a war is its immediate and long lasting impacts on individuals.  Come participate in a book discussion of Private Peaceful, with discussion facilitator Dr. Kevin Rucker.  Presented by the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, Colorado Humanities, and the Colorado World War I Centennial Commission.  Learn more….


The Library is hosting Wild Wednesday this afternoon from 4-5PM. Discover Colorado wildlife and environment with naturalists from the Lookout Mountain Nature Center. Each month we explore a different environmental topic and discover what makes Colorado wild and wonderful. No registration required. For ages 6-10.
