Screen Agers at Bell Middle School - Golden Colorado

Bell Middle School’s PTA is sponsoring a showing of SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age tonight from 6-8PM. This is a documentary about the biggest parenting issue of our time. Admission is $5 for adults. Learn more….

The Downtown Development Authority meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. A downtown resident has asked them to consider how to handle grants when a Downtown business moves or closes after receiving a grant. Should the City request repayment? The DDA will consider this question. They will discuss the developer’s plans for 1100 Washington Avenue (the former mortuary). At some point, the new owners are likely to request a Tax Increment Sharing agreement. The City will likely work with the owners of the new Cidery/old laundromat to install some landscape improvements between the sidewalk and the curb at that property. The meeting memo mentions that both the Golden Mill and the adjacent Gold apartments are for sale, so we may see changes on Ford Street at Clear Creek. Review their meeting packet to learn more….

The Railroad Museum will host Storytime and Craft at 10AM. Join fellow young train enthusiasts, in collaboration with the Golden Public Library, for a morning of rail stories and make-and-take crafts. Recommended ages 4-6 years old.
