The new student apartment building at 1750 Jackson Street was approved last night, as were the 8 new townhouses at 148 Washington Avenue. The City Council Chamber was packed–kudos to everyone who took part in the public process.

Public Art in Golden Colorado

The Public Art Commission meets this morning at 9AM in City Council Chambers. They will discuss the 4 finalist proposals for the new piece of art to be installed just off of Highway 93 at the north entrance to townLearn more….

City Council meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers, but it won’t be broadcast. They will be interviewing candidates for the boards and commissions, so they will split into teams of two and go into separate rooms to conduct the interviews. The City does not plan to post the interviews, but I have submitted a records request to receive the recordings afterwards, and if you’re interested, you can also request them.

The Chamber’s State of the City Luncheon is scheduled for next Monday, April 9th. City Manager Jason Slowinski will tell us what the City government has been doing and what they’ll do next. The event will be catered by the Table Mountain Inn at the American Mountaineering Center. Tickets are $35. Learn more….
