Foothills Art Center will host a lecture this afternoon from 5-6. Ben Butler is a prolific artist, with a unique organic style. Largely process driven, he and his assistants work fluidly as they allow the procedure of cutting wood and foam into organic shapes and molds to inform the final product. The outcome is surprising and awesome in both scale and intricacy. He constructs massive installations from wood, foam and concrete. The post office will host their annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive tomorrow. If you want to participate, leave a bag of non-perishable food items next to your mailbox to be picked up by your mail carrier. The Golden Lions Club will collect it from the post office and take it to the Christian Action Guild. Last year the Christian Action Guild received about 22,000 pounds of food in a few hours. Would you like to help with this food drive? The Christian Action Guild needs volunteers to help sort the food from 3-8PM. Sign up for a 2-3 hour shift.
