Art Festival, Farmers Market, Golden History Roundtable, Sleeping Beauty, and Golden Weekends

The culmination of Artsweek Golden–the Festival–happens today and tomorrow on the Mines Campus. Visit between 10AM and 5PM to enjoy activities for kids and adults, food from Top Dawg Sausages, Margaritas Food Truck, and Sweet Cow Ice Cream, beer from the Golden City Brewery, and of course LOTS OF ART.  Parking can be found on any of the CSM parking lots and helpful signage will direct you to the lots and the entrance.

The Golden Farmers Market will be operating from 8AM-1PM at 10th and Illinois.  There will be no Farmers Market next week, because of Buffalo Bill Days, so if there’s something that you can’t live without, stock up today for two weeks!

The Golden History Roundtable will meet at the Library from 12:30-1:30 today.

Miners Alley Children’s Theater is opening Sleeping Beauty today. Enjoy the classic tale of a fairy scorned, her lengthy revenge, a princess who really catches up on her sleep, and–of course–true love conquering all.

Performances will be every Saturday at 1PM from July 21st – August 18th, plus two extra performances (at 11AM) on August 11th and 18th.

The Downtown Merchants are sponsoring Golden Weekends again tonight, so visit downtown between 5 and 8PM for music, carriage rides, sales, samples, and specials!
