2018 Ballot, Fall Stories at the Nature Center, Ice Cream, Haunted History Tour

2018 Election

Are you going to work on your ballot today? It’s an impressively long one! The League of Women Voters and Jefferson Unitarian Church held a meet and greet with Jeffco candidates on Oct 16th and a community meeting about statewide issues on October 13th. Recordings of both are available, and may help you think through some of the ballot issues:

Statewide Issues

This is the final day for the Fall Whale of a Used Book Sale, and that means it’s BAG DAY!  It’s only $6 to fill a grocery-sized bag.  They’re open from 11-3 today at the Jeffco Fairgrounds.

Autumn Leaf

The Lookout Mountain Nature Center is offering a Fall Storytelling and Walk from 12-1:30PM. Listen to a fascinating story about nature, place, or wildlife. Then head out onto the trails to explore the preserve at Lookout Mountain Nature Center and create your own nature story. This is designed for children ages 6 and older with an adult.  Learn more and register for the Fall Storytelling and Nature Walk.

Sundae

The Library will host Global Sundae, a Multicultural Family Ice Cream Social from 2-3PM today. We’re a global community! Connect with other families, practice English, and eat ice cream while enjoying great conversation! Activities and crafts for all ages provided.

Colorado Haunted History will lead a Murder, Mayhem, and Madness tour from 8:30-10:30 tonight. This is an excellent tour for people interested in Golden History (the vile and violent parts). The cost is $20 for adults. Meet in front of the Visitors Center. Reservations: tours@coloradohauntedhistory.com or 888-649-3849.
