Lots of Action at Windy Saddle Cafe

July 9, 2018

Windy Saddle Cafe - Golden Colorado

Tuesday (July 10th)
Tomorrow night’s speaker at Golden Beer Talks will be Erin McDanal of the Colorado State Archives. Erin will tell us about Responses to Drought by Colorado’s Governors.

In large part the history of Colorado is the history of its water use. From at least 1200 A.D. to the current period, the region now known as Colorado has depended on its access to water to support civilization. It hasn’t been easy managing water within an arid and drought-prone region. Many scientists believe that climate change will only stretch the limits of our state’s water supply as Colorado’s population grows, making drought a significant issue in the future as it has been in the past. Erin’s talk will focus on the responses to drought by the governors of Colorado during the development of the state.

How Beer Talks Works:
Food and beer will be available at 6:00 p.m., with our speaker starting around 6:40 p.m. Following the presentation, we’ll take a brief intermission for Q + A. We’ll wrap up around 7:45 p.m., so that the cafe can close by 8:00 p.m. There is no cover charge and no purchase is necessary. Learn more….

Friday July 13th, they’ll be Slingin’ Paint in the Saddle: “Mandalas” with Art on the Brix

As always, enjoy sipping and snacking on something scrumptious from the bar (for purchase) at Windy Saddle while we walk you through an entertaining and artful experience.

This painting of a Mandala (or a portion of a Mandala) is EASY on a the scale of difficulty (Easy • Moderate • Advanced) which makes it GREAT for a beginning painter! Personalize your mandala with your own colors and repeating designs …
